A life of extravagant parties and millionaire debauchery isn't cheap — even during the time of The Great Gatsby in the Roaring '20s. A new infographic from Pennsylvania-based artist Nickolay Lamm explores just how much it costs to party on a champagne budget. Baz Luhrmann's uproarious adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel proved that self-made men create dazzling spectacles, and Leonardo DiCaprio's Jay Gatsby spared no expense when it came to his wild shindigs.
With party costs totaling $250,000, a $30 million dollar mansion, and a wardrobe bank of $470,610, becoming Gatsby clearly isn't cheap. The bill adds up to a whopping $34,320,880 if you can believe it. Check out this handy infographic so you know what to expect before you slip into your Brooks Brothers suit and decide to court a privileged flapper. [via Design Taxi]
