Divergent : Hoping to attract a similar audience to The Twilight Saga and The Hunger Games series while establishing its own identity, new character posters for YA action flick Divergent have been revealed, showcasing the tattoos of lead actors Shailene Woodley and Theo James. March 21, 2014, has been set as the movie's release date. [Hey U Guys UK]
Warcraft : We just heard that Colin Farrell and Paula Patton were under consideration as the leads in Duncan Jones' forthcoming big-screen adaptation of game scenario Warcraft, and now comes word about a short list of other actors being eyed for key roles. Paul Dano, Anton Yelchin are the two better-known names, joined by Travis Fimmel and Anson Mount, who have notable work in TV series to their credit. The project is still being kept under wraps, but each report sheds just a touch more light on its direction. [Collider]
Italian Cinemas as Brothels: The Italian police conducted raids on theaters in northern Italy recently, suspecting that they are, in fact, houses of prostitution. Details are scarce, but it appears that the theaters did show movies, but the films were "spliced together without concern for plot, or endlessly looped," in an effort to provide a front for the brothel-like services that were offered "on theater seats, in the bathrooms, the foyer, and even the projection room." Dom Hemingway Trailer: Jude Law plays an outrageously loud and overbearing low-life in the upcoming Dom Hemingway, and a new trailer does a good job of selling his raunchy virtues (or, rather, lack thereof). Richard Grant, Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), and Demian Bichir also star; the movie is due out on April 4, 2014. [YouTube]
