A Million Ways to Die in the West : Nowadays, Liam Neeson is probably best known for playing action heroes, but the versatile actor may soon be seen as a comic villain in Seth MacFarlane’s A Million Ways to Die in the West. Neeson would play the estranged outlaw husband of Charlize Theron, who teaches cowardlly MacFarlane how to shoot. Giovanni Ribisi has also been added to the cast, which includes Amanda Seyfried; the movie begins shooting in May. [The Hollywood Reporter]
The Hangover Part III : The new poster for The Hangover Part III might be sacrilegious for hard-core Harry Potter fans, because it directly parodies the teaser poster for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows -- Part 2. For everyone else, it provides a nice little chuckle and a tiny hint of the outrageous comedy that’s bound to be coming in the concluding installment of the unexpected trilogy. The movie’s due out on May 24. [EW.com]
Poltergiest : The long search for a director to helm the upcoming reboot of Poltergeist has been concluded, and the job will be filled by… (drum roll, please)… Gil Kenan, who helmed the delightfully scary family film Monster House. Sam Raimi came on board the project as one of the producers to help find a director last year, and Kenan seems like a great choice, not just because Monster House is thematically related, but because Kenan pushed the boundaries for family-friendly entertainment, and that’s what’s needed for a new Poltergeist., since the original was a groundbreaking family frightener. The Croods Clip: The abundance of animated films featuring all-star voice casts can make it hard to tell one from another, so we'll remind you that The Croods, due out on March 22, is the one set in prehistoric times, following a family as they take a dangerous -- and perhaps hilarious? -- road trip. A new clip showcases the leadership of a cautious Nicolas Cage... and monkeys. [Yahoo! Movies]
