Pompeii : Look who's been working out! Kit Harington, who has gained well-deserved notice for his performance in HBO's series Game of Thrones, shows off a body fit for a gladiator in a new image from Paul W.S. Anderson's Pompeii. As it happens, Harington plays a gladiator who falls in love with noblewoman Emily Browning, just before something earth-shaking happens. The movie will erupt into theaters on February 21, 2014. Fifty Shades of Grey : The casting process for the big-screen version of Fifty Shades of Grey is heating up. Dakota Johnson is the latest actress to be considered for the lead role of Anastasia Steele; she played an adorable young single mother in the unfortunately short-lived TV sitcom Ben and Kate, among other credits (The Social Network, 21 Jump Street). She's also the daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, which couldn't hurt. Meanwhile, Pacific Rim's Charlie Hunnam is rumored for the male lead role. [The Wrap / Twitch]
Blue is the Warmest Color : We just saw the first trailer for the controversial (and prize-winning) romantic drama Blue is the Warmest Color, and now comes word that the movie has received an NC-17 rating, the first to be given this year. Distributor Sundance Selects/IFC Films anticipated the restrictive rating -- for "explicit sexual content" -- and says it "refuses to compromise" the vision of director Abdellatif Kechiche "by trimming the film for an R rating." Parkland Trailer: A sterling ensemble cast has been assembled for Peter Landesman's Parkland, which has just released a new trailer. Due out in theaters on September 20, the movie follows Billy Bob Thornton, Paul Gimatti, Zac Efron, Jacki Weaver, and Marcia Gay Harden as they deal with events in the immediate aftermath of the assassination of President John F.
