Of all the iconic Hollywood studio intros that appear before a movie starts, we’ve always been pretty partial to Universal’s. The giant logo swinging out around planet Earth while music roars in the background is just neat – right up there with the old MGM lion and the classic Fox intro for sure.
Boston sketch comedy crew Fatawesome feels a little differently about it, though. What must life on that Earth be like when the music kicks up and those giant letters rotate around to block out the sun? Turns out it’s every bit as terrifying and destructive as the carnage in your standard Universal summer blockbuster.
Check out the clip below (which features some Not Safe For Work language) and have a giggle or two at this dorky vid. Too bad they didn’t work in a shot of the sky with the letters actually moving across the horizon like alien invaders. That would have been cool.
