Gotti : Two years ago, Gotti, John Travolta's passion project about New York crime boss John Gotti Sr., seemed to be a go under the direction of Barry Levinson, with a cast that included Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, and Lindsay Lohan. That fell through, but now it looks like a go (again) with Joe Johnston (Captain America: The First Avenger) signed to direct and Relativity Media coming on board as U.S. distributor. Dungeons and Dragons : Warner Bros. intends to make a new big-screen version of Dungeons and Dragons, the role-playing fantasy board game. (Not to be confused with the 2000 movie bearing the same title.) Oddly enough, they are 'retrofitting' a script based on another game created by co-designer Gary Gygax, so we probably shouldn't expect too much fidelity to the board game experience; the studio wants to "reboot the franchise for a new generation." The Butler Trailer: As the followup to his controversial movie The Paperboy, director Lee Daniels has gathered an all-star cast for The Butler, with Forest Whitaker as a White House butler who serves eight presidents over three decades. The World's End Trailer: The concluding film of the so-called Cornetto Trilogy reunites Simon Pegg and Nick Frost with director Edgar Wright for The World's End, which looks like a another very clever and funny comedy.
