Who’s ready for some giant robots fighting giant monsters? If the answer is “me!” then you’re in luck – we’ve got the newest trailer for Guillermo Del Toro’s Pacific Rim (or as I like to call it, Sons of Anarchy: Monster Edition since it has both Charlie Hunnam and Ron Perlman in the cast) ready for your consideration.
The new clip looks amazing. We learn more about how the Kaiju launched their attack on humanity (started in San Francisco, jumped around the globe from there) and how the Jaeger program works (two pilots, shared memories and all). This looks exactly like what we’d expect from Del Toro – it’s larger than life, gorgeously shot, full of interesting visuals, and if this clip is accurate, is filled with the kind of monster vs. mech action many geeks have been dreaming of since childhood.
