Unless you’re a super-hardcore Louis C.K. completionist, odds are you’ve never seen his appearance in the 2000 indie film Tuna .
That’s right, before Mr. C.K. was a bigtime comedian with his own television series, he appeared in this micro-budgeted flick alongside an equally young Nick Offerman. It’s worth a look just to see both guys before they became stars…
So, what is Tuna about? It’s about guys driving around LA and talking in their cars. Yeah, not a real high concept piece, but as one Vulture commenter put it, “it’s like a ‘90s mumblecore version of Night on Earth.” We like that description a lot.
Since this was a super-indie production, the film looks pretty cheap – but you’re still getting a rare opportunity to see Louis C.K. and Nick Offerman at a younger age. Oh, and you can spot Two and a Half Men’s Angus T. Jones in there too. He was all of four at the time.
