Curse of Chucky , the latest installment in the popular Child's Play series, is due out on DVD and Blu-ray next week -- and in celebration of this momentous event, the folks behind the film have teamed up with MovieClips to create this amusing video mash-up.
In the clip, everyone's favorite psychopathic Good Guys doll moves beyond his normal cinematic universe and finds himself in a new locale -- at the Bates Motel. Thanks to some digital wizardry, it's no longer Norman Bates stalking Janet Leigh in the shower, it's Chucky instead.
The video is pretty amusing and Chucky blends into the action nicely. We're glad Norman Bates never made a quip after dispatching Leigh in the original film, but Chucky's one-liner is all about staying true to his character. The best part? Watching Chucky and Norman meet face to face -- something that had only happened previously in my living room when I bust out my Movie Maniacs action figures...
